I've just bought a Asus VS228H 1080p monitor connected via HDMI. The first thing I noticed was it drastically degrades my website's online mp4 video. I've gone thru all settings including Bios & display, setting the default at 1920x1080. I've tried lower resolutions to no avail. I went to the Asus website and saw some updates but they're just for unrelated multi-screen displays. I saw someplace Vista was required. Just when did monitors become OS dependent? My local video and editor displays fine. Is this some sort of virtual memory problem? Running XP Pro, ATI Radeon onboard X1250

The drivers may not be up to snuff for XP to interact with Flash player or other online video players, my try a different player for on-line
