Hello. I would like to know some opinions on which gpu is beter for gaming on 1440. 780 ti matrix platinum or asus 980 strix. Money or power consumption is not value for me thanx.

Solution
Just to explain my point earlier before, when i say 970 = 780Ti that's based off overclocking benchmarks where many 970s and 780Tis can be overclocked to reach about a stock GTX 980, and an overclocked 980 (Strix, MSI gaming and Gigabyte G1 are best for this so far) exceeds the 780Ti on every single benchmark i've seen while also being more power and thermally efficient. so i definitely agree for future games, and even current and past games the 980 is way better choice than the old 780Tis

if you're going with a 980 SLI that's really good to push the highest frame rates on that montior, i think i know which one you have, same as me, he ROG Swift. a single 980 or a single 780TI is okay for it but you really need a 980 sli to push those...

All right. What about 780 ti matrix platinum 2way sli. Is still 980 strix better on 1440? If so, i am going for it.

you're best off wit ha GTX 970 SLI if you cant afford a 980 SLI for 1440p.

i'd say the tiers goes

Overkill - GTX 980 SLI
Value - GTX 970 SLI
Best single card - GTX 980
GTX 970 = 780Ti (albeit with worse power requirements for the 780Ti)

Ok. Here is results. I bought msi 980 4g gaming. When I ran valley it was a bit scary because it gives me 45 - 50 fps. But alien isolation 144/144 ( the second number is 780 ti SLI ), adwance warfare 90-120/80-90, shadow of mordor 60/100. It is obvious that 980 is better solution for future games. I am planing to buy 980 strix and may be two of them. Asus matrix 780 ti platinum is beast but single 980 can be compared with this in SLI.
and important note: i am using 27" 144hz g-dysplay.

you should be extremely happy with the 980s, they're brilliant cards :D Especially since two of them can push that 144fps on ultra in ALMOST every game, excpetions being ones like battlefield 4, crysis 3 and such
