First of all, did you have a CPU in mind?
Not really. I kept seeing types of motherboard on sites like ASUS, and MSi where there were some motherboards for overclocking and others for gaming.
Are there CPUs that are ideal for overclocking?
Overclocking a CPU can be kind of a "luck of the draw" type of thing. They mass produce a bunch of CPUs at a time, and due to imperfections, CPUs made the exact same way will be set as 3.0 GHz, and others at 3.2 GHz, etc. The reason for this is that, after testing, the manufacturer guarantees it will run at those speeds.
They MAY run faster with overclocking, but there is no guarantee from the manufacturer. Just be really careful with OC as you can destroy the components just as quickly as you clicked the mouse to purchase them. You are doing the right thing in asking questions here, but also read a few articles as well.
