GPU fan running but temp reaching 100 C what to do?

For a few days my gpu temp is reaching 100 c while playing games , not like fifa 14 but while playing absolution . I am using msi afterburn to control fan speed , its always 100.
Can someone plz tell me whats the problem?

I think you're better off returning the card to your vendor. Replacing the cooling paste yourself would probably help, but may void your warranty. I'm pretty sure the card is not supposed to be that hot.

It may also be your temperature sensor. Is the card actually getting hot to the touch?
