Hello
I recently buy a new Transcend SSD370 128GB drive and a new MB(H87-PLUS). But the SSD drive work terribly at low speed(approximately 19MB/s for sequence read and 15MB/s for write).Preformance tested using official software(SSD Scope).

I also have 1TB Seage HDD(OS Installed) drive and it work great(Tested using HD tune and 200MB/s for max read)

I test SSD drive with another MB(Asus M4A7BLT) and the result was reasonable(260MB/s for sequence read)

My question is, what can I do with my MB? Is there any settings in bios that can be changed to support this SSD drive?

If it's a hardware problem, which one I Should send to warranty, MB or SSD drive!?
Is there a way to test and find out which one cause the problem?

MB: Asus H87-PLUS
CPU: Core i5 4460
RAM:16GB Geil
HDD: 1TB Seagate
SSD: 128GB Transcend SSD370
VGA: On cpu board
OS: Windows 7

Thanks in advance.

First off your board comes with 6 (yellow) Sata 3 ports so you have no issues there. I would start by making sure you have the updates for all your motherboard drivers including BIOS settings. I noticed a couple of the BIOS updates had some fixes for Sata drives. You can find the downloads here:

http://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/H87PLUS/HelpDesk/

Your motherboard came out right as SSDs were getting more popular so i'm thinking this may be the issue if you haven't been keeping up to date with yoru BIOS and driver updates.

Another thing you can try is changing out the Sata Cable, they do go bad.

I update BIOS with most recent version(v2002 x64) but still have the problem. I also change the SATA cable and port but still no success.
I Installed all driver that provided with DVD but I'm not sure about all of them is up to date(Except VGA driver).
Is there a official utility for check driver updates? Which driver is responsible for SSD behavior so I go straight for that.

I'd be interested to see what the outcomes is im having a problem with a SSD370 too. On a AS Rock H97m ITX ac MOBO. I tried enabling my SSD in bios as a HDD and it increased the speed :S

Same as here
I solve my problem last month. I changed the power supply connector from direct sata to an sata adapter and it worked great!!
I'm confusing why!? what's wrong with direct sata connector? why other devices such as HDD work normally with direct sata connector?

some of these drives have funny behavior when they're connected to a 5 wire power supply. they don't seem to have any issues with 4 wire power connectors (missing the 3.3v wire), such as a molex to sata power adapter.
