Hello, everyone,
So I've been dealing with a problem the past two months or so and finally decided to take it online and ask you guys here.
Ever since I bought my ZyXel WRE2205 range extender a couple of months back, I've had this problem where I temporarily disconnect from the internet at random moments (at least once every hour) and I have no idea what causes this problem.
I finish about 2/10 online games I play, to give you an idea of how annoying this is for me. The range extender used to be plugged into a 6-way socket (if that's what it's called in English) along with 4 other plugs. I moved it to an extension cord by itself last night, but it didn't solve anything. My PC is connected to the range extender with the LAN cable that came along when I bought the extender.
When I disconnect, a yellow icon shows up in the bottom left corner as well as the message: "Identifying - no internet access". Some times I'm disconnected for around 4-5 seconds, other times several minutes before coming back online.
I have nothing to go on so any help is greatly appreciated. Please tell me if there is something you need to know about my setup in order to help me.

Thanks in advance,
Aksel

Solution
Hi there
So when you set the device up, you would have had to connect it to your current wi-fi.
Did you perhaps note (if it told you) what the signal quality was like coming from your main wi-fi?
Range extenders prefer it if the signal that they are hooking in to is not below 50%.
Hope this helps.
