jmb363 sata/esata pci card

Hello.., Recently I purchased JMicron JMB363 SATA/e-SATA Pci Controller Card ; The external 2 e-SATA ports ( controllers) are working normally, but the internal 2 SATA ports ( controllers) are not recognized AT ALL !?..., Any idea please, Any published manual? ,...THANK'S ( o.s. windows 7 ultra 64 bit )

If yours has an ide ports on it I beleive the esata and sata ports cannot be used at the same time.

Thank you for your reply yes there is an ide port on it but Ara you sure I can not use sata and esata at same time?

And now I disconnected the easta and still the interior 2sata not dettected

There should be a jumper on the board for the setting to turn on the sata ports. Check your manual.

Thanks a gin I don't have manual , the jumper on the pci little board or on the main motherboard could you help please how to turne the sata board on using a jumper ...or could you email me any manual , it's very much appreciated

I forgot to mention that my pci data card is pci express and the exact model is WH-JMB363

I dont have that model but used to have 2 different cards that both use two block of 4 jumpers. jumper #1 on each block was for internal/external operation.

can you upload or link a decent pic of your jumpers?

Hi Popatim.., Did you review the picture of the jmb363 in the above link ? is it possible to tell me where each jumper should connected
to make all 4 sata/esata ports work ? ... by the way iam not using the IDE port at all > THANK YOU

Sorry for the late response but I was extremely busy yesterday and didnt manage to get on.

Move all 8 jumpers to the 1-2 position and both internal sata ports will work but this disables both external sata ports.
If you want one of the ports to be external you can leave its 4 jumpers on 2-3. j2 thru 5 are for sata2 port, j6 thru 9 are for sata1 port

As I said before, You cannot get all 4 sata ports working on the jmb363 chip at the same time.

These are just examples and not recommendations, I've never used them so make sure your pc has the necessary slots & requirements.
