Is this a good build for moderate gameing? have to stay in the 500$ range. I play games like dayz sa an battlefield 4

You want a 2x (or 4x) RAM kit, not 3x. Also, Cougar is not known for good PSUs. The Seasonic-built 520W Antec Neo Eco has been cheap lately. Anything else built by Seasonic (their own, all XFX, some Antec) would be good, or Super Flower units like Rosewill Capstone and Kingwin Lazer.

Ram you chose is wrong, it is a triple channel kit for old Gen 1 i7 rigs. You want 2x4gb in dual channel. Games eat storage fast. 320gb is not enough. 1tb should be minimum size. I have a hard time recommending FX, as it has no upgrade path, has to overclock to compete, and uses more wattage, so you would need a better PSU for that.

Thanks for the replies. Good to know about the ram. changed the psu an hd but had 2 go with a cheaper video card to cover costs. i only play a few games at a time and most are not that demanding other than dayz. I dont need the best of the best or anything like that just want to play games at med to high settings. loganofhades what do you mean no upgrade path for fx? can i not upgrade to 8 cores later on if i want? O an would a 4 core work for what i want? was thinking 6 cores was better bet for future proofing. looking to use this pc a few years before i upgrade again.http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Thestonedjawa/saved/Ww4Pxr
