I know, I know... Noobs like me come here all the time asking about gaming PCs :p

Basically, I'm looking for a build that can run modern games like Shadows of Mordor, Titanfall, etc. I do NOT need it to run everything on ultra at 60fps, I just need something that can run most modern/next gen games smoothly and efficiently. I'm completely new to this sort of thing, so go easy on me. This is what I've come up with so far. Any input or ideas? I would prefer it if the price didn't go any higher than it's already at, and anything that can make it more affordable is very welcome. Thanks.

Solution
Get a 2 X 4gb set of memory 8GB is more than you need for gaming and put the savings on a higher end video card 760 range or a R9 280 / 280X.

Thanks for the tip. Is it a decent built aside from that? And should it be able to run higher end games like the ones mentioned?

Tweaked the build. Only 8 GB is needed for now and the stock cooler should be enough for a non-K CPU. Also included a better PSU. If you want an aftermarket CPU cooler, then at least get a CM Hyper TX3.

You basically just slightly downgraded the CPU and added a better video card, right? How much of a difference will there be between the GTX-770 and the R9-290? With the lower grade CPU, will the 290 help it perform better or is it just a way to cut down the price without severely altering the quality?

Again, I'm new to this, so be patient :p

I modified it a little bit, trading a bit of quality to make it more cost efficient (to suite my personal needs). How does this look?

Why use 1066 MHz memory when you can get 1600 MHz for the same price?
