Just bought a Sapphire r9 290x and my system keeps freezing and making a really loud buzzing noise through speakers. The card runs at about 70-77c at max, should I get it replaced? I'm running latest 290 series drivers.

try doing a clean install on your drivers, those temps aren't an issue

1) uninstall anything to do with AMD and Nvidia (if you had an old nvidia gpu)
2) power down your pc
3) boot your pc
4) run the latest installer for your graphics card

reboot your pc, and see if that helps. if it doesn't it could be any number of problems from a lame card to a psu that's just not really up to delivering the power that card needs. you can also look into updating your bios on your motherboard. sometimes that helps.

I did a clean wipe of all graphical drivers, and reinstalled latest 290 series one. That didn't help.. It could be my PSU as it is made by OCUK (Overclockers) and costs like £24 though it is 750 watt. I'm going to upgrade that soon and I'll post again if it yields any results.
