Hi guys,

I've checked online for the past 2 hours or so, and haven't found a solution for my problem, so here we go....

Our network printer has been working fine up until recently. Now, for some reason, all the other computers connected to the network couldn't print to the printer. They all could see the printer, but they all saw it as offline.

I ended up removing the printer off the other computers, and trying to re instill it, but now they can't even find it.

I've seen so many articles saying I should assign a static IP to my printer, but they all say I need to know my printer's IP. But I can't find the IP for my Canon iP3600.

Can anyone advise?

Kind regards,

Jimmy.

Navigate to something that says "show connected devices" and check out what IP is associated with your printer. Highlight it and copy it. Then somewhere else are settings (it may be different location depending on the router) that will set your associate the MAC address of the printer (also found on the connected devices page) to whatever IP you want for it. Sry that's the best I can explain it without seeing for myself.
To find your printer's IP address, you need to access your router configuration page. In your web browser, go to http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 to access the router configuration page. Since the router handles your entire local area network, here is where you will find the printer IP. You will probably have to type "admin" and "password" to access the router page. Once you're there let me know.
