first of all my rig is not beast nor i have funds to afford one, it maybe a trashy rig but i can play decent games 30 fps and above which is okay for me (like Ryse: Son Of Rome in all normal settings)

here's my low grade rig:

GT640 GDDR5 64 bit (lol)
Intel G2030
Patriot 4GB 1333

being just a student (of course no job yet) my funds only comes from my allowances so pls dont tell me to buy same CPU and GPU.

I'm planning to buy an i5 3470 and additional 4GB ram for cpu if gpu i guess
GTX750 OC 1GB DDR5 but i will be deprived of funds from buying another 4GB ram

Pls give me advice which should i buy first, if CPU it will be long run investment i guess, if gpu i don't know if my cpu will bottleneck it (i think it really does).

CPU. Your GPU is decent for now, while your CPU is very outdated, the answer is yes, your CPU would be bottle necking your GPUs performance.

that's what i've been thinking, and to support that conclusion i have a monitor which can only display at maximum of 1280x1024 (probably 720p, which then i use this all the time and not trying my hdtv which i know my gpu might not handle)

Upgrade your CPU first, then your GPU, and when you will be upgrading your GPU, go for GTX 750 "Ti" version at least.
Since the non Ti version will only bring small bump of performance over GT 640.
and if you going to do what I just wrote, just be sure you got good enough Power Supply, of at least 300W 80+ rated (with 12v Rail that has at least 20 AMP).

i've got 600w, so majority wins and i think CPU really is for the long run, because a bottlenecked GPU is useless i guess. thx
