I just built a computer with Asrock X99 Extreme4 mobo and msi GTX 970. The mobo and gtx 970 seems to be running, but i can't seem to get any display on monitor, either on DVI or VGA cables.
2 connectors on same cable is fine on a single +12 volt rail PSU! It is possible that the card is bad but first try reseating it in the slot. To find out for sure if it is bad the best way if you can is to try it in another system.

Thx for the help. And yeah i don't have another mobo to test it on, which is one of my problem.
I just helped another person in here but doubt that you have the same issue but BIOS upgrade worked for him with a different card on H61 lga 1155 board. If you have a spare card you can see if that could be the case.
