Oye gents,

I'm looking at a new build based on a pair of GTX 760's I found myself gifted with.
Build will be my plaything for gaming, I feel an i5 4690k will be all of the processing power I will ever need..

All that's left is the right MOBO to make the most out of everything. I'm not even sure what features are the most important to me. I generally do not care about color.

So I defer to your judgement. Thank you in advance

Aye mate I appreciate the suggestion. But I'm concerned with a few things on this board.

VRM heat sync impeding on the cpu cooler mounting hole.

How aggressive the auto overclock settings are. (I don't intend on water cooling my rig)

The bios options for fan control seem to be lack luster.

and finally (not sure it will matter to me right this moment however) the m.2 and SATAe sharing the same chipset. Not sure if I'd want to use one of each devices at the same time, but knowing I can't urks me.

Please let me know if I'm over thinking this. I don't consider myself a power user, so I don't believe the frequency noise benchmarks will affect me negatively.

Again I appreciate you chaps in advance

@ spooky2th
I'm trying to think of a scenario in which I would want to use both at once if I'm running my OS on an ssd and my games on another ssd or 7200 hdd.

The MAXIMUS VII HERO is ridiculous for folks who are not making money gaming. I know I said I didn't care much about color schemes, but I feel the ROG black/red is so very over done. It seems like those colors are the stereotypical colors chosen by comp gamers. Lastly, all of that artistic styling brings an unnecessary price point with it.

IMO, the best scenario would be to get good sized bootable M.2 device. Faster than any current ssd. Then have storage on another ssd or hdd.
