which graphics card is better in terms of gaming performace?

Ultimately both cards aren't that amazing, but yes like it was said the GT 630 will beat the GT 610. There are a few reasons why the GT 630 will beat the GT 610 despite the same clock speeds.

The GT 630 has more cores in it compared to the GT 610, it actually has double the cores that the GT 610 has. The GT 630 is also using much faster memory compared to the GT 610 which helps with rendering. Lastly the memory bandwidth on the GT 630 is MUCH higher compared to the GT 610.

WOAH WOAH WOAH!! to be honest none of those two will go far in gaming. Look into a GTX 650 at least. But what games will you play?

GDDR3 is not designed for gaming. Please refer to my Graphics Card Tier List (link in my signature) OP. Hopefully it can help you decide one that fits your purpose and budget.
