Title. The video card is an MSI R9 280, and when I tested to see if it worked before installing into the case, it did, but now it will not work and I have tried HDMI, VGA and DVI. I already went into the mobo BIOS and the graphic setting were already set to use graphics from the PCI-E.

Just to confirm, do you already have the Integrated Graphics disabled in Bios?
Also, are you connecting the cables to the motherboard output, or directly to the GPU?
Are the GPU drivers already installed?

It didn't say or give the option from what I saw to disable the integrated graphics, but it had the option to use the PCI-E as the primary source. To test the integrated, I plugged into the mobo; to test for the GPU I plugged into the GPU. And I have not installed drivers, I assumed that since it worked before being put into the case, it should at least give me an output.

But, now I have windows installed on my computer. When I tested before there was no OS. Does that make any difference?

So, how did you test with no OS?
When you tested, did you connect the monitor to the mobo, the GPU, or both?
What`s your motherboard model. I wanna check if you can disable the integrated graphics in bios.
And another thing - Is this a new build, or an older PC? Did you have a GPU in there before?

I think that in order to fix this, you should do something like this:
1. Connect the monitor to the motherboard, and plug in the GPU, and connect the power cables.
2. Power up the PC, you should be able to get an output.
3. Install the GPU drivers from the manufacturer website.
4. Restart PC, and go directly into BIOS.
5. Disable integrated graphics. Save, and shut down.
6. Connect monitor to GPU - you should now have a video output.

When I tested it without an OS, it just took me to my mobo BIOS, but it worked with the GPU. I connected the monitor to both the gpu and mobo to test the integrated as well. The mobo I'm using is an ASRock Z97 itx/ac, everything in this build is new. I'm currently downloading drivers for the gpu hopefully that works

Try this one out: In bios => Advanced => North Bridge configuration => igpu multi monitor -> Disable..

If this by any chance goes wrong, just remove the BIOS battery for a minute, and put it back in.

I haven't tried this yet, but I downloaded drivers for the gpu and still am not getting output. Should I still try this?

Ok, so if you`re downloading the drivers, it means you are able to receive output from the build to the monitor.
Are you connected to the monitor now?
If yes, download the driver, install it, reboot, go to bios and disable the integrated graphics like I posted before, and boot up the PC after moving the monitor cable from the mobo to the GPU.

Let me know if this doesn`t work.

I'm only able to download drivers and use the monitor because of the integrated graphics on my cpu lol. I'll take a few screen shots of the BIOS to make sure we're looking at the same thing :)

I did install the drivers, and yes the connectors are in the GPU and the fans are spinning, but it's like the mobo has not acknowledged the GPU at all.
