The card itself installed fine and with my limited knowledge I've installed couple software's to test if heating is an issue. Furmark pushed it up to 70c highest in a 15 minute mark. GPU-z shows highest 60c in couple games full detail (Shadow of Mordor, Battlefield 4 etc). So far I do not have any issues besides the bend heatsink on it. Contacted seller and they have issued an RMA. However, because it is possible that the item may not be in stock I may have to wait longer than I'd like to, to receive the new item. Here are couple pictures I've taken out of the box.

Would like to see if someone could direct me on what action I should take next, keep the card or RMA.

Thanks!

I have never recommended a Gigabyte card how ever popular they are because I have always thought they look flimsy in all pictures I have seen of them. Remind me of PowerColor cards that give me the same feeling but usually are cheaper than the rest, giving a reason to buy them.

I went powercolor after the last 3 sapphire cards it replaced were just not cutting it and got to say its been one of my best cards not to say the next one will be but I was nicely surprised with it oc'ed well runs cool [65c @33%fan ] max. so far after about 9 months using it ... I was one for a ati/amd card sapphire was the go to brand for years for me ..

I did check your link Junkeymonkey and it seems my card is in worst shape than the link. I think I am going to RMA it, and hope that I can get a new one before it runs out of stock. Wudai_e, you also have a point as a bend card could certainly lower its resell value.

Rolli59, this is actually my first purchase for a Gigabyte product. I've picked G1 as its factory overclocked stats looked desirable and the price range is/was within my budget.

Meanwhile, Nvidia recently announced that any 900 series would be eligible for a coupon for upcoming titles from Ubisoft (AC Unity, Far Cry 4 and The Crew, basically pick one) My seller honored this promotion even thou I've had purchased this specific card before Nvidia's announcement. I'm thinking I should just order a new one directly while RMA the one I have, therefore cut on the wait time, and perhaps get another coupon for one of the games I haven't picked.

I feel like cheating :)
