So I just built a new PC, ran all the nice little tests: prime95. furmark(1080p,4x MSAA, got above 60 fps), but there seems to be something wrong with the memory part.

I fired up Dragon Age Origins, and it started lagging after a while. I checked my usage, CPU was barely hitting 50%, temperatures well below 50C the GPU the same, temps below 60C, but then I opened up the task manager and saw that my memory was maxed out. 98% usage.

I ran Resmon, checked to see what is using so much, nothing. DAO was using 500mb, steam another 80, and the rest even lower. I closed everything, got back 1GB of memory. With absolutely everything non-essential closed, the PC was still using 7 GB.

So I guess I need a little help in solving this. Did anyone encounter this problem before? Oh and I also had a little problem with the hard drive usage, that capped out a few times as well, but then that problem went away. So I don't know. Is this a Windows 8 bug, or something?

My rig:

Intel I5-4690k, 212 EVO cooler
Asus GTX 970 Strix
Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5 mobo
2x4 G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 MHz memory
WD Black HDD 1GB
Fractal Design R4 case, 2 intake fans, one exhaust(if that's somehow relevant).

Oh, sorry about that, eventually I found a solution. It was the Killer Network Manager in combination with Windows drivers that was causing the memory leak. I turned the program off and everything seems fine now.

You might be having a lot of unnecessary startup programs that clog up your memory, leaving very little when you max out with your graphic card. Try removing unwanted startup programs and clear your prefetch. Also, use a good registry software like CCleaner to remove useless registry entries.

Eventually solved the problem. I noticed after I started getting BSOD's that one of the memory modules was faulty. So yeah solved this. I'm also going to pick a solution at random.
