Hi All,

I have been suffering with bizarre internet problems for a while now and have given up trying to browse for solutions.

A while back my LAN connection just stopped working, it was running fine then it just started stating 'unidentified network' as a public network that couldn't be changed and wouldn't connect. I have tried the various fixes on the forum for the LAN including updating registry files and have the connection now set to 'work' but it still doesn't do anything.

I can connect on Wifi and I will have no issues at all for about 2 hours, then my connection just explodes and I am stuck disonnecting and reconnecting (the router page will show the internet going on and off, but my pc connection will stay online) for the rest of the night.

Here is where it gets confusing for me.

Since this problem started I have changed the ethernet cables. Changed the router (plusnet accidentally sent us 2) and purchased a new pc (still have the same issues on the new one).

So pretty much every variable has been changed and the problem continues, I am just lost for a solution.

The wifi is unbearable I can only use it solidly for about 2 hours a day. (40 mb Fibre and nobody else I know in the area has any issues)

And the LAN just refuses to work all together, on both routers and on both pc's.

I will include my ipconfig at the bottom, I don't know if it helps at all but I'm just getting seriously stressed over the whole situation, I live for the internet and I can barely use it at the moment.

If it helps here are a few more details: -

OS: Windows 7 Professional
Internet Provider: Plusnet
Internet Package: Unlimited Fibre
Router: Technicolor TG582n

Thank you!

I Raised the issue with Plusnet and they ran some line tests and emailed me back this graph, I was away for 2 weeks, and in those 2 weeks the internet seems to have not dropped much if at all for everyone else in the house, but the day I get back it goes crazy. (If I am reading it right).

They are going to send an engineer out so hopefully that sheds some light on things, but I don't rate plusnet from my experience with them so far, so I am still looking for advice / solutions / explanations here if possible.

There are a couple PC's (not belonging to me so I dont know the details) but they claim to only have internet issues when I am having them (none while I was on holiday)

Mine is a new Windows 7 Professional PC,

The router as mentioned before is a Technicolour TG582n

my wireless card is an 802.11n Wireless Lan Card
And other than that I just use a direct ethernet connection, Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
Modem is just a BT Openreach Modem

Sorry if I misunderstood, anything else you need?
