Hey guys, so I bought a 450 watt Rosewill Capstone PSU, its 80+ gold rated. Could someone tell me how many watts it will take to run this power supply? I am looking into buying a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) but I don't know which UPS to buy, as I need it to output enough power for my PC and Monitor to not immediately shut off, so I could do an orderly shutdown on my PC. Which UPS should I buy (how many watts does it need to be able to output)
Heres my build (if it matters)

Thanks everybody in advance!

It all comes down to the load of your computer. If the load on the computer is 100w then that is what you need.

I would get a p3 kill-a-watt metter and see what your wattage is durring normal pc use (if you game then gamming is normal use, encode videos then video encoding is normal use, etc, etc).

Then from there you can decide what psu you need.

If you just want 5-10 minutes then you wont need too hefty a psu, but if you want an hour, then you will need a good sized one.

The size of the UPS depends on the length of time you need your system to run so as you said you can safely save all your docs, close your programs and shut it down. For your system probably a 450VA or 500va would be enough. The 2 models I sell the most of are:
TrippLite INTERNET550U 550VA/300W USB Internet Office UPS System and the APC BACK-UPS ES BE550G 8-Outlet 550VA 330W UPS System.
