Hey guys I recently bought an XFX R9 280X however when I try to boot up the PC I just get a black screen. Everything else sounds like it's booting up as normal however I don't get any picture.

It uses a 6-pin and 8-pin connector which I've used one of the adapters for out of the box since my 800w PSU has two 6-pins.

My motherboard is a GA-870A-UD3, and I've read a few solutions regarding Gigabyte motherboards however my mobos BIOs options seem to differ from the rest

I've tried setting the boot priority to PEG which was VGA and PCI-E as opposed to just PCI which hasn't seem to have made any difference

I'm sure it's either the PSU or the Mobo but I'm all out of ideas

If you know of any solutions please talk to me like an idiot because I'm sure I'm missing something stupidly obvious.

Not really sure, is that something I can find out on dxdiag or do I need to go into the BIOS?

Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG is what is says in dxdiag

Will try tomorrow when I've had some sleep, bit too tired to risk it tonight. Thanks, though. Will update.
