So, the issue was that I couldn't connect to any web page from any browser. Not only that, but I can't download anything using any other program (like Windows Updater.)

I've tried everything I could think of, including reinstalling drivers and changing the DNS server address to google's public DNS.

By all accounts, I should be able to connect. I can ping any page I want and get lightning fast responses, my wireless adapter sees and connects to the wireless modem without a hitch, all of my status reports say I'm connected, even Window's Troubleshooter has no issues connecting. It's just the browsers.

What I've tried:
Reinstalling drivers
Resetting IE
Changing DNS

It shouldn't be a software issue since this is a clean install of the OS, and the drivers are completely up to date to the best of my knowledge.

Specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Using IE, since I can't install any other browser
Using an Edimax EW-7811Un Wireless Adapter

I know I asked a similar question before and chose an answer, changing the DNS server worked for a second but as soon as I tried downloading another browser with this newfound connection, everything went to crap.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I'd love the help. Even if it doesn't work, it'll have results that might help me get closer to the solution.

It almost has to be a firewall or something similar. If ping works...especially if you can ping by name.. then the network is fine and it is only the browser that has a issue.

You can get around the browser by using the telnet command to test. First you need to turn on/install telnet ...microsoft fools thinks nobody uses this. What you do is telnet to say www.google.com 80. You generally don't see much. You can type GET and you should get a screen of junk.
You can try some other sites also. Its hard to describe but it looks different when it telnet connects to a site even if it does not respond to get than if it is being blocked.

If you can telnet to port 80 then there is something blocking the browsers. Usually some VPN/proxy or maybe malware has messed up some of the registry settings.

If you can not telnet to port 80 then you have a firewall type of things blocking it. I would be checking the pc firewall first but it can be on the router of it can be some other software on your machine.
