Hello everyone.
I just upgraded my ram to 16GB, i'm using 2x 8GB modules from different manufactures.

- Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz CMZ8GX3M1A1600C9
- Crucial Ballistix 8GB 1600MHz BLS8G3D1609DS1S00

Both have same frequencies, timings ( 9-9-9-24) & voltages (1,5V) and they do running smoothly in dual channel at 1600MHz. But here's the strange part

i used several programs to check if the frequencies are right and each one of them showing my vengeance as a 1333MHz maximum frequency (you can check the pictures above)...Anyone have an idea why?

Solution
The difference in the top image, of 800 and 667 is the default boot freq - some sticks default to 1333 others 1600...it's nothing to worry about, when XMP is enabled they both go to the XMP settings of 800 (1600 as this is DDR Double data rate)

What does CPU-Z show? You can ignore the SPD rating as it varies from mobo to mobo. On my Kingston Hyperx Fury 1866mhz one board is showing max freq = 2400mhz at cl13 and the other is showing 1760mhz at cl 10 - on the same stick! They are both wrong as the memory is only rated at 1866mhz cl10 (even tho it can handle 2400 at cl13 while overvolting). Ignore them and just make sure the memory is running at 1600 using the memory tab in CPU-Z. Both sticks operate at that frequency.
