Hi,
I ordered APC 600VA UPS (APC Back UPS BX600CI-IN 600VA) and some are saying that it won't work if it connected to 600W smps. I would like to know if it can work with my PC.My PC specifications are:
PSU:Corsair CX 600
mobo: gigabyte b85md3h
GPU:ASUS r9 270x
HDD:500 GB
DVD RW drive
CPU:i5 4670k
Monitor:DELL 21.5" LED (18 W)

These will be connected to UPS. I don't want any backup time. There will be no power cuts here but i just want UPS to be able to tackle power fluctuations that happen rarely for 2 seconds and prevent the system from turning off at the time of that power fluctuations. Will this UPS work?
Thanks

VA(Volt-amps) are complex power units, while watts are real power only. Rarely can a 600VA UPS provide 600W, yours is only rated for 360W which should work but is a bit tight given your current setup, i'd place your power draw around 300W for that system.

If you don't want backup time you will be better off with an AVR(Automatic voltage regulator), they are generally cheaper for that purpose.

Thanks for the reply. I am complete noob and don't understand it completely. Can i conclude that the UPS will work fine with the system configuration bot for normal and gaming purposes? As i already said i don't need any backup but in case there's a power cut i'll turn off the system completely. I just want the ups to protect PC from power fluctuations . Recently because of bad UPS my PSU and mobo were damaged and i had to buy these new above mentioned parts. Thanks
