I am planning to do some upgrades to my PC and a CPU is a main upgrade from dual core to quad core, I am hoping it will be supported by my motherboard so It will save me money, Any help appreciated greatly!

I think this is the HP Compaq dc7700 ?? And it looks like it uses an Intel CPU. So no you cant use an AMD processor

Are you sure your running a AMD CPU? This is what I get when I run the #'s for that board.
