Yesterday while playing Alien: Isolation suddenly my screen froze, had to power down my machine.
Since then i get the splash screen, but can't enter bios nor my windows, after splashscreen my monitor looses signal. My ATI RADEON HD 6850's fans are spinning.
I tried another graphics card, which seems to work for the moment (but is some old piece of cr..p).

output from CPU-Z

I am by the way aware that the PSU should be a better one, just didnt have money atm and until now that didnt cause me a problem.
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance!

Since i had the case open yesterday i already cleaned. The machine survived an evil hot summer in my flat while gaming, but yesterday i only played like 10 minutes before that happened.

This i did, and it works. I also think it comes down to the card beeing broken.
While i was able to boot my system with the onboard graphics i took a look at the device manager. Strangely the ATI RADEON HD 6850 shows up there.
So it is recognized by the system, is able to show the splashscreen, fans happy spinning and still it is broken. Is that possible?

Okay, since all the other components seem to do well it has to do be that. I'll try to shoot a new one at ebay, its already not costing a lot anymore.
Thanks for your replies!
