Yesterday there was a lightning storm here where I live and by the looks of it it has struck a ethernet line because when I woke up in the morning the router had literally exploded and a friend's PC which was the closest to it had absolutely everything fried. I went on my PC and noticed my razrer black widow ultimate 2014 not lighting up, In fact it wasn't even working and a strong smell was coming from it as if something had burned. What do I do? Can it be repaired? Does razer cover lightning damage? Can I be sure that's what caused it? The other thing that was damaged was my LAN card but that's easily replaceable, although whats weird is that my friend's laptop which was on at the time of the incident works completely fine without any issue and his razer keyboard was not damaged either. He had his laptop connected to our router via cable aswell.

Acts of God or lacking in providing proper protection (was the system on a certified power protection strip?) won't get you a "free replacement". You will need to go buy a new one. You CAN check your Insurance (you have homeowners / rental insurance don't you?) and can make a claim (your friend should have) to cover such things.
