Hey guys! So I have a lot of questions that i'm hoping you can help me out with. So first and foremost I plan on upgrading my CPU on or before black friday. I currently have an i3-3220 and at first I was looking at the i5-3440 ask recommended by this site, but I was on reddit and was told to get the *3570k instead. Do you guys agree with this suggestion? Also I found out that I can get these processors for about $50 off if I buy it used. It'd range between a year and a half to 3 weeks old depending when I can snag the deal. Is this safe? I know CPUs are delicate and all and I'm fairly new at buying components. As long as it hasn't been OC'd would a year use be fine to purchase and expect it to work for the foreseeable future? Finally, when I do buy this CPU (if it's the *3570k) I plan of safely overclocking it. If I do so should I buy a 3rd party cooler or would the stock fan suffice? Which cooler would you suggest? I know this is a lot and whoever can answer it all is the real MVP.

Solution
To benefit from a unlocked CPU like the 3570K you will need to have a Z series motherboard for overclocking. CPU rarely fail unless overclocking and it is a fairly safe product to buy used from sellers with good rep on ebay for example.
