I'm planning on putting a bluray ODD in my PC, I was wondering how i would stream blurays from my PC to the TV keeping the same quality.

Solution

If the software you use to pull the data supports it, yes. But then you are back to my first point of how (network wise) you plan on getting the data from the PC to the TV. The better the resolution of...
really depends what equipment you have first. from right now best bet would be to rip the bluray onto the HDD and then install a media server like universal media server on your PC and then you can use a DLNA supported device like a PS3 or xbox 360 to stream it over your network.

are you going to be watching bluray movies on your pc too?

Your best bet would be a full wired ethernet connection (no wireless). How is your TV network enabled? Wireless (2.4 or 5Ghz), or wired? Do you live somewhere with a lot of WIFI congestion (apartment, condo, etc) ? Where are the TV, router, and PC relative to each other?

Ripping the bluerays is the only way to stream them realistically. That does violate the copy protection and may or may not be legal where you live.

The better the resolution of the video file (from whatever source) the higher the sustained bandwidth required on the network between source and destination.

My TV has no support for wireless or a wired connection. The router and the tv are in the same room.

Does VLC player support it? Also, I suppose a HTCP would just be a better idea.

if you are not going to be watching blu ray movies on your PC thern swhy not just get a bluray player for your TV?

you cannot rip blu rays with a DVD burner because normal DVD drives cannot read blu ray. even if you want to go the streaming route you will have to have all connections wired because the HD movies don't run well over wifi
