I just got a black Rosewill RX358-S V2 BLK 3.5" External hard drive enclosure. The problem is that when I took it out of the package the box said it supported up to 2 TB, while Newegg's website said it supported to 3 TB.

Now, I'm afraid to take the shrinkwrap off of it. Can anyone reliably tell me if this particular enclosure supports 3.0 TB? Thanks!

You will see that a lot when the enclosure was made 2TB was the biggest you could buy so that's what's listed.
You can look at some product descriptions and it will say 500GB because that was the biggest made at the time and the information was never updated.
