I have had my EVGA GTX 770 w/ ACX cooling and 2 gb of VRAM since about June. It has performed alright besides some annoying crashes. The other day, I was playing JC2 Multiplayer and getting 60+ fps without VSync and 61 with it. When I was playing for the past 2 days, I have noticed a drop to about 30-35 fps. This drop is not going away and I don't know if it's a sign of a defect, but it certainly could be. I have tried a lot to fix it, I have done as follows; cleaned out the GPU, reseated it, cleaned it out (again), reseated it (again), freshly installed the drivers, and for the last thing I completely removed everything nVidia and reinstalled the drivers. Also reinstalled the game.
My specs are as follows,
i7 4770k
16gb Corsair Vengeance Pro
PNY SSD
WD Black 2 TB HDD
Corsair 750 watt PSU
Asus z97-A Motherboard
(Also 3 monitors, one 1080 and the others 720 but only gaming on the 1080)

may help if you clear that, saying next day you have fps drop.did you play same map with same count of players, then can be an internet connection.may help restart your modem,by unpluging from the wall for couple minutes and restart your pc at same time.

I was playing the same map, there was about the same amount of people give or take a few and I later checked my internet (forgot to include that, sorry) and that was definitely not the problem. I get 60/60 with a 10 ms ping. I have restarted my PC many times, to take out the GPU and just when I'm going to sleep. It tends to turn itself off sometimes too.

Just as an answer to all who said to monitor my temps, I did that as per request and they stayed below 70 the whole time gaming. Both CPU and GPU

I used a program of which the name escapes me that removes every trace of nVidia and the temps are alright. It's a CX750

DDU?

The CX series isn't the best and if your computer is shutting down randomly (or under load) I would suspect the PSU since temps are fine.

Yes, that's what the program was. The PSU is only a few months old and I actually got it to replace another. It has also worked fine in other PCs.

I am currently on the latest stable drivers but have tried going back to older ones with no luck. This problem didn't even exist on the current drivers until a few days ago. One thing I have realized is worth noting is that after I used DDU, games ran at about 50fps stable but the next day were back to 30.

Download GPU-Z and MSI Afterburner. When gaming, monitor clocks. If your GPU is downclocking for some reason, that could be the cause.

If everything is normal, I'd try uninstalling the drivers again and rolling back to 344.11, I've seen others having issues with newer drivers and 344.11 seems to be the most stable.

I've done those other things although I use EVGA Precision, not Afterburner. I guess now I'll try 344.11
Update: The driver install had no effect. Would you recommend a fresh OS installation?

I have already done all of those things. The fans are always spinning. I've observed it for hours while gaming.

im just wondering if u ever fixed the problem, since i have pretty much the same thing happening to me, i have the nvidia gtx 770 4gb msi.
one day i was playing with ultra setting all maxed out 130 fps, now its 30-35 fps i already cleaned the inside but its only been 4 weeks since i got it, and it didn't change any performance, i got afterburner and CPU-Z temps are fine always around 60-70 nothing weird.
also checked all the fans all working fine i just dont get why the fps dropped that much could it be a driver ?
