Hi. So I have an old Dell Dimension 5150 and was wanting a new graphics card for it. I'll happily upgrade to a 350W power supply. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit and 4Gb DDR2 Ram.

I wanted a GeForce Gt 640 card with 1Gb of Gddr5. I would happily use a lower end graphics card, even if it was older but I wanted to know if I 'could' run my pc well with the GeForce Gt 640 card.
Thanks:)

Since its a Pentium single core i would recommend buying a new dedicated graphics card for it :) you might be better of getting a new CPU + mobo first !

Thanks Kaliz :) Junkeymonkey, I read your comment about the bios protecting itself and the warranty protection and stuff, however I had an older graphics card which I decided to put in. It booted up just fine and I'm using the same graphics card right now! Will this be the same with all cards?
