Looking for feedback on my computer build

I want to get a new PC as mine is pants. Instead of overpaying for a pre-built one I decided, with the help of some friends, to build one myself. Now, I am not very good when it comes to computer parts and what they do or their quality. My friends showed me, what they believed to be good parts. I come here seeking guidance and feedback on whether we (they) did a good job.

Are these parts adequate for gaming? I want to play every game, for the next few years, on high quality with at least 30fps.

I would also like to add that I can salvage a Hard Drive, and a Disk Drive from my PC, that's why they don't appear on this post. I also have an Operating System, Keyboard and Mouse, in case you're worried.
Thanks in advance, Bill.

The PSU uses cheap capacitors and is not recommended, there are usually better options in that price range. Honestly for the budget(535) you can do better.
Here's a good option

Still uses a 280x but the i5 4460 will wipe the floor with a fx 6300.

Thank you for this helpful answer. I have made the decision to keep everything I've put excluding the RAM (I'm going to use your option) and the Power Supply (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/620w-seasonic-evo-full-modular-80plus-bronze-dc-dc-120mm-silent-bb-fan-atx-psu). I would also like to know your opinion on whether my build is okay for my needs? Thanks
