Hybrid drive with second SSD Drive?

I have a new system with a 1TB Hybrid drive. I also have a spare 120GB SSD drive. Is there a practical way to use both on the new system?
I want to install often used programs on the SSD. My concern is that the hybrid will merely cache the same, and therefore I won't really get any performance gain from the spare 120GB SSD. What do you think?

Solution
You can use the SSD as just another drive. Just like any other drive.
There will be no caching.

2 options:
Move the OS and all that stuff to the 120GB SSD. (Faster operation)
or
Leave it on the hybrid drive, and just use the SSD for docs. (Much easier)

Personally, I'd probably leave it on the hybrid drive.
I wouldn't have bought one in the first place, but since you have it, leave it as is.
