I guyz, I received a Pny gtx 480 for free and with that I tried to build a good pc for 3d animation and to run game of course.

My goal was to build a pretty good pc who will not cost me too much but im already at 1000 $ do anyone have tips ? :) thanks a lot

The rig looks pretty solid, however if you want to cut a few dollars you can go with an FX8350 and an AM3+ board. Though it doesn't hyper thread, it has 8 physical cores (vs 4 hyper threaded to 8) and 7MB more L2 cache (might even be better for your application).

The transport architecture of the I7 is usually preferred over the AMD architecture though. (It has been a while, but I think it is due to its centralized distribution structure over AMDs higherachial structure)

Anyways , I would take a look at some of the performance stats and compare the two.
