Alright so the thread is semi pointless considering I'll be building a new PC very soon. But my two current PC's I use one for recording games and one for editing/rendering. I recently had the hard drive crash so I re installed windows 7 while I was doing that I swapped the 7770 gpu over to the editing PC so I could play some games.
After swapping it over I noticed Battlefield 4 ran way smoother and even had a FPS increase of 5-10 and would even hold the FPS pretty stable. All the drivers are the exact same and no game settings changed. I can't think of why the q6600 would run BF4 an insane amount better. Is the IPIBL-LB motherboard better and could that cause it to run the CPU better?
I would keep a stable 25-30 fps at medium/high settings on the editing PC, whereas I would have 20 fps that would have screen freezes and dip down to 15 fps on the recording PC at low settings.
