Hi, I'm getting another pc for gaming, I'm planning to buy these:

Processor: FX 8350 4.00 GHz
Motherboard: GA-970A-D3P AM3+/AM3
Power Supply: Thermaltake Grand 1200W (Got gift from my friend)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 4x2 (8GB)
Graphics Card: MSI Twin Frozr GTX 760 2GB
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB
OS: Windows 10 64 BIT

Is everything fine? I'm planning to use Stock cooler for processor, is it fine? Since I don't need to overclock or something. I just want to keep the processor cool while gaming. is it good build?

Solution

Many changes can be made. If you have the money for a 8350/Cooler, get an I5. Without the cooler, since the I5 doesn't need it, it should be similarly prices. Instead of a 760, get an R9 280 which gives out considerably better performance. Make sure the ram is a 2x4gb kit, and not a 4x2gb kit. Finally, try to get a 1TB HDD if you don't already have one or don't plan on getting one. 120gb will only be enough for OS and very little games.

excuse me but you need 8gb ram for gaming also gtx 760 is better although i have to say an i5 is a better choice but is he an amd fanboy or an intel fanboy (not sure) furthermore i reccomend an after market cpu cooler like the h212 because its quieter and cools better , i mean any cooler performs well i have a zalman cooler and my i5 2500 runs 20 degrees idle

If that was directed towards me, I DID suggest a 2x4gb kit which is 8gigs. Even though a 760 is a good card, its pricing isn't the best. An R9 280 can be found for less than $200, and STILL performs better than the 760. A locked I5 does NOT need a cpu cooler. OP would just be wasting money. Also, it's all about the load temps.
