Does anyone know where I can purchase 2GB SO-DIMM DDR 533MHz RAM online?

I only have 1 RAM slot so can't purchase 2 x 1GB.

If the system is running Windows, install CPU-Z and check the MEMORY and the SPD tabs, it will give you the exact characteristics of your PC's memory subsystem. If it uses some other OS, post a picture of the memory's label (PC-xxx: DDR1, PC2-xxx: DDR2).

I'm after DDR not DDR 2 so I don't think this would be compatible.

Hello,

I would be very surprised if you will find an 2GB 533MHz DDR1, and even more surprised if you'll find a So-DIMM one (back then, an 400MHz 2GB DDR1 desktop memory was a rare sight, and the higher-clocked DIMMs were only in 1GB form; for laptops, I am not aware of 2GB DDR1 So-DIMMs, much less an 533MHz one...).

I am pretty sure you need a DDR2 So-DIMM.

The RAM is for an EPOS system which currently has 1GB installed. I'm looking to increase this to 2GB in order to speed up the machine a bit. I've just read the system spec again and it is definitely DDR not DDR2.
