Hi guys,

kind of a newbie here. i'm worried about the temps on my cpu since sometimes when i play NBA 2k15 it goes up to 97c. Also when i go to bios it skyrockets to 95c, when idle the temp is around less 60c using Open Hardware Monitor, attached file for reference.

Everything i have is stock. Using i5-2500 and msi p67a-c45 mobo. Never overclocked, dont even know how to do that.

Hoping for your recommendations/solutions on this one.

That picture is too small to read by the way.

You might want to check that your CPU cooler is functioning properly (spinning fan and not clogged with dust)

Also you could tell us what cooler it is and for how long as it been used. Since when have been getting this temperature issue?

Temperatures over 80C without OC usually means your CPU heatsink is either not working properly or is not installed properly.

If you are using Intel's stock HSF, it is quite common for those to come loose after 3-4 years so you might want to install an aftermarket cooler like the 212+/EVO.
