Hello i am currently searching the internet finding parts to build a pc. I have found parts to build 2 pc's but i am wondering which one will run games like metro 2033, skyrim, need for speed, minecraft etc More smothely.
PC1
Components
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K

Mother board: MSI A78M-E35

Gpu: Sapphire Radeon R7 260X

Ram: 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport

Storage: 1TB Western Digital Black (I might upgrade to an ssd in the future)

Power supply: 430W Corsair CX430.

These are the ones for pc1 I did not include the case since it wont affect performance.

PC buld #2
Components
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor

Mother Board: Asus H81M-D PLUS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
( It shuld be noted that with the cpu and the motherboard overclocking is possible).

GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 280 3GB Dual-X Video Card

Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ( might upgrade to ssd in future)

Power supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Case not added since it does not affect the performance.

So those are the specs i am deciding to buy between. Id like to know from you guyss on the forums which one would run games at the best fps With and without overclocking.

Solution
The second build is better. The G3258 is better and so is the 280.

I recommend changing out the PSU. Add a Seasonic, an XFX, or EVGA PSU. Look at the PSU Tier List, you want a PSU that is Tier 2B or above.

Right now im not so sure about the model of the psu but ill be doing more reaserch onto it. and I am not so sure what you mean when you say "You might want to lower the GPU level and increase CPU" yeah pentium is old but im still trying to find a better CPU that wont break the bank.

Hmm i might go with a EVGA PSU, But should i keep the current 500w or find one that has higher watts.

The Pentium is about the best you can do then. It will give you good performance, though, and a good upgrade path.

This is my suggestion:
