Why aren't my front audio jacks working?

My 2xUSB 2.0(I think) are working the way they should,but my audio jacks(one for the mic and one for the headsets) aren't working.
What's the issue here?
The back panel ones are working fine though.
OS is Win7 Ultimate 64-bit.
My MoBo is an ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 if that helps.

Is the case cable connected to the Front audio header on the motherboard?
If yes, check the setting in BIOS, switch between AC'97 and HD.

I believe that they are connected.

Check the manual for the header position (bottom left) and see if connected. If yes, check the setting in BIOS (Onboard Devices Configuration - scroll down - SB HD Azalia Configuration).

I checked the manual and the cable,everything matches and it's the way it should be.
So next step is to go to the BIOS and enable HD sound(or something like that)?

Not enabling, but if set to HD, switch to AC'97.

Yes, as I don't know what type is the front audio connector of your case and I guess that it doesn't match the setting in BIOS.

Nothing.
This is how it was set in the BIOS before I changed anything:
"HD Audio Azailia Device-Enabled
Azalia Front Panel-HD
SPDIF Out Type-SPDIF"
Changed to AC97,nothing.
I also have the option to choose "HDMI" as an SPDIF Out Type.
What next?

No problem. It might be an issue with the front connectors then. What case using? Is it a new or an old one?
Did the connectors use to work?

It's from 2008

and I have no idea what's its name.
And I don't believe that they have worked in the past.
Is it the connectors then?

It could be. Connectors, cable, less probable the motherboard header.
