M5A99FX PRO R2 BIOS/MOTHERBOARD Problem

Hi guys, so me and my father are build a rig for about 5 months. Every month we were ordering a part, sometimes 2 and when we got all the parts we built it. Well everything booted up, just fine until i got to the BIOS. Well i hope those pictures can explain it, because i just cant :

The first picture is when i enter the BIOS. I have to move the mouse to make it load some things.
Things i did to troubleshoot it :
- Updated the bios with the newest (it was pretty hard actually)
- Set it back to "default"
- Tried booting without hard drives, DVD writers and etc.

Nothing from these steps worked. I also tried booting it with my old Windows 7 HDD and Windows Vista HDD (yes, i know that its not going to work, but i would've been happier if i could even read what was on the screen) and nothing expect the CHAINESI charapters came on the screen. Should i call Asus or the one i bought it from (its brand new from amazon, not 2nd hand.) and try to explain him what happend? But there is one problem, i bought the motherboard 5 months ago and since we were buying new components every month i just couldnt test it.

Nevermind, if you know something about this PLEASE tell me, because i dont want to call anyone. Why? I am in Germany and i dont speak "perfect" german and i am not sure if they know how to speak english and so....

My rig :
AMD 8350
CM Hyper 212 Evo
M5a99FX Pro r2
2x4 G.Skill RAM 2133Mhz
Seasonic G 750 gold

Solution
Everything is now displayed on the screen and it looks good?

Unfortunately your original post didn't mention you were using a TV instead of a monitor. A real monitor normally is used when setting up a system and that's the reason why we presumed the GPU was faulty.

Glad to know you got it working.
Many people said the same, but i still dont think its a GPU problem, because if i inster Windows Vista/7/8.... installation CD it will get to it, no bugs, no glitches, everything will work just fine, but i really want to know what does it say when it comes to those CHINESI charapters. ( I will reupload the pictures as soon as i can because i dont have access to the camera right now) I will try to explain what it looks like : BIOS : I can see the Clock, Mouse and when i move the mouse it gives you little squaeres and when you move the mouse on the whole screen you will slowly start to see the CPU information, degresses, RAM and etc. But you wouldnt be able to use the mouses buttons (atleast i think so :D)

Here the pictures are. So my story why i cant borrow a GPU :
Well 1 year ago me and my family moved to Germany. And since i knew NO german word i started from scratch. 1 year i was going normally to school, but in the 3th month i wanted to start something else, my life isnt only school, right? So i started reading about how to build your own PC. I got pretty interested into, because "normally" i fix everything about "software failure" and started to deal with hardware. I learned everything from the story of AMD to how to make wooden case. On my birthday we ordered the 1st part. It was the motherboard M5A99FX Pro. We wanted it to be an AMD rig, because me and my father are AMD fanboys :D. Meanwhile i met a boy that is 1 year older, but he said that he has a great rig with a 290. But it was pre-build and he thought that when its pre-build you cant open the case because everything is "glued" inside. Atleast i tried, but he just didnt want to. And i understand. Who would give his GPU to someone you met 5 months ago? No one.

Before posting pictures, you wrote "Many people said the same, but i still dont think its a GPU problem, because if i inster Windows Vista/7/8.... installation CD it will get to it, no bugs, no glitches, everything will work just fine, but i really want to know what does it say when it comes to those CHINESI charapters."

Are you saying that everything works fine except when on a BIOS screen? You can install Windows and see everything on the screen?

I still believe you have a defective GPU. In the first picture the monitor can't sync (there are no Chinese characters at all) and the second one is what I've seen a few times with a defective GPU. You could at least test your monitor on your friend's PC (or another PC) to make sure it doesn't cause that issue.

Hi, well i was testing it all on the TV i had. Then i moved to the bigger one and there it worked. Somehow, it was a.. no idea. Not a bad cable. Probably something with the TV ports. Well i got everything fine, i installed windows but the things do not fit on the screen. I mean i cannot see everything. Any idea how to fix it? Resolution is already to 1920x1080.

Solution
I didnt get it clear its still a little bit bigger and i have no monitor to check if on the monitor it will be the same. But if i connect my laptop to the TV it will be just fine but with my PC isnt so. Well i have some problems with the HDDs now but i know their grounds and will get them fixed soon. Its all about money when there are some problems with the PC and you all know it. If you know how to help me with that "bigger screen" i would be glad to hear it.

Can you explain what you mean by oversized? Are you driving the TV at 1920 x 1080 via an HDMI cable? A picture would definitely help. Click the Format button on the remote and see what happens when you change the image format. You can also configure inputs to match your requirements.
