just finished my build fatal1ty z97x board, i5 4690, evo 212 cooler, 2x4 1600 ram, 650 gold psu.
a few questions..first off it set my ram to 1444 or something, so I changed it to 1600 is this ok? I had trouble getting the cooler on so I thought I was sure it was too tight or too loose, thought too much thermal paste or too little.. but seems to be working fine. My temps run at 32c-35c I've seen it get up to 42c-45c while playing games.. are these temperatures appropriate? I thought they would be lower, but I don't know if idling at 32c is normal? also the cpu input voltage is running at 1.774 and Vcore .726. I am not overclocking. do not even have the K version of this cpu. im just afraid of ruining the cpu

Those temperatures are fine.
If the system boots once you have changed what RAM speed you are good. If you set it to higher than 1600 it will crash, if that happens either find the reset CMOS switch (some motherboards have this) or remove the coin-shaped battery on the motherboard.

Unless you have changed that voltage, it is fine yes :p
