I just built my new PC, with AMD fx-8350 and MSI geforce 970 on a asus m5a97 r2.
Still I only get like 30 fps on Wolfenstein on ULTRA and 30-40 on Day-Z when using all the settings for maximum FPS.
What's this all about? I buy a graphics card for almost 400 dollars and I can't max out the current games?

Solution
As stated before, It affects some people, not all. This may not even be your root cause though. It is either a hardware or driver issue, if you claim that this happens in all your games. I guess its hard to tell because there can be so many reasons for this and it could be something on your computer that we dont know about. New drivers came out today, update to those.

As for the chipset, just download the latest version for your mobo and install from there. Doesn't matter what you have right now.

Yes, I'm using Geforce experience to make sure all drivers are up to date.

What are the CPU and GPU temps?

CPU is 30 degrees when gaming. GPU is 59 degrees.

Seems a bit odd to me. It may because the drivers for the games are crap, and don't like AMD CPUs, which is sometimes the case.

Games like Hitman: Absolution and CS:GO can be maxxed out without any problems.
BTW, I don't think I updated the bios when I got the motherboard. Can that be a problem?

As long as it is updated now that shouldn't be a problem.

I haven't really updated it. So I don't know.

I would update it. Even if it isn't the problem, it is probably good practice.

I can see that my current BIOS version is from 2014-04-07, so it shouldn't be a problem. I'm gonna try to upgrade to windows 8.1 from 7.

That combo can most probably ultra Skyrim at 60 fps on 1920x1080.
Maybe drivers... or maybe faulty hardware could be the case.
Upgrading from Windows 7 to 8.1 is useless, most gamers and PC builders recommend Windows 7 no matter what.

I found this gameplay and this proves you can play it on ultra -

and this PC has specs which are lower than yours, ultra's the game -

How can I check if any hardware is broken? I think I have a problem with my RAM, I get two kinds of bluescreens aswell, one of them is page fault in nonpaged area, and the other one is SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXEPTION.

Thanks man, I'll try that. And about those videos you linked, it's very weird that I can't even get close to that fps.

Do you think I forgot something when I assembled the PC? I can't seem to install the AMD chipset drivers that came on a CD with the motherboard. Do I need them? Where can I see if I have them installed? Sorry for asking all those questions, I'm kind of bad at this.
