Hello, I am hoping someone can help me. I was trying to save my mothers computer from the doom she put it though. I tried just about everything, I looked online and without really checking deep into it got a updated bios some how her computer. Well I found out after the fact that her model is very much know for overheating and powering down. Anyways during the update I noticed that the cooling system under the laptop was not running and before I could get it in..Poof...power down. Now I am stuck with a laptop that does not run. When I turn the power on things light up and the cd drive seems to be running (light) things seem to be working but all I get is a black screen. No post No logo no nothing. I can only assume that the bios is toast. I heard some where that there may be a procedure to follow in order to recover the computer. I don't care about the data I will just put a new version of windows and everything on it but I want to at least have that option. The computer is not important to my mother anymore cause she moved on to newer things. I wanted to set it up for the girlfriend so she has something. I have a cooler for it and everything as mentioned but I can't get it to start up at all.

Here is the details

Toshiba A210-ms6
mo: PSAFGC-MS608C

I am not terrible with computer but this is way beyond me. I hope there is some way to fix it without sending it to a tech which is big bucks I'm sure or worse scrapping it all together. I think I got the right bios but when I went to look for it again I could not find it so I don't know anymore. I have been trying to get this running for like a year now. This is my last hope really.

Thanks everyone in advance for any help you can give.

Solution
The computer's motherboard is bricked. Either buy a new motherboard or (this is VERY advanced) buy a new BIOS chip and program that. I'd just buy another motherboard.

Getting access to that is extremely hard. I have seen that online as well. But I have also seen a bunch of different things saying the bios can be re flashed via use or floppy. The problem is like I said a bunch of different types of procedures. I was hoping someone smarter then I knew the toshiba procedure.
