Hello everyone!
I actually built a new rig but the case is my MOBO has 2 slots for ram
Only 1 is filled with 8GB Hyperx at 1600, but still I have my 4gb ram stick from my old PC
What would give me better performance? The 8gb stick at 1600Mhz or the 12GB of ram at 1333Mhz?
Since I know the other ram stick will lower its Mhz to the lowest one which is 1333Mhz or so I was told

Solution
You may end up having issues with miss mached RAM (im not saying it wont work). For best performmance use a matching pair (Size and speed). Brand of ram can be different.
Your CPU is designed to address identical memory in two memory channels.
Installing the 4GB stick in the second channel may not work.
By using only one stick, you have halved the possible memory bandwidth of your CPU.

Staying with the 1 8GB stick will be OK, but not optimal.
Best would be to use 2 x 4GB or 2 x 8GB dimms of identical memory.

It depends what you use it for. Ram frequency makes very little difference in gaming unless you are running an APU. If you are doing video editing, then 12GB would probably useful, but for gaming it is not worth the hassle.
