If you put the switch on Xinput, than it behaves like, and games see it as, a Xbox controller. Thus it works in all games who support the Xbox controllers.
I have only encountered one game that had some problems at release. (It only supported one model of the 360 at that time.)
If you put the switch on DirectInput, than it behaves as a classic controller. Therefor it also works in older games who don't support the Xbox controllers. Than you can use the Logitech software to customize it to make it work with almost any game.
