Can you run Sims 4 off disk?

Hello, I would like to run The Sims 4 off a disk, but when I put the 1st disk in it tells me install Origin, and when I put the second one in it gives me game files but I can't play the game!
Do I have to install on Origin?

You're unfortunately forced to install origin, yes, as the platform is used to make sure you actually own the game and aren't just pirating it...

I don't see anything wrong in that, unless you're using an illegally obtained copy of the game, of course. I haven't used origin much but I suppose it's the same as steam: activate once online and eventually play in offline mode if there isn't any connection to the internet available.
