I have a xbox one but I really want to get into pc gaming. My mom got an email about the Alienware Alpha. I did some research but I still don't know for sure if it is a good pc for entry level pc gaming.
I agree with the above post it is pretty easy to build your own gaming pc, it is also cheaper and better in the long run because you can upgrade instead of having to buy a whole new pc when the alienware becomes dated.
Alienware is hugely overpriced for what it is. If you're not comfortable building your own PC, check out some other brands that offer ready-built machines. With Alienware you're paying a pointless premium for the name.

i would like to get a pc this holiday season, and then I stumbled across the steam machines/box and it seems like a good Idea considering I am a console gamer so.... do you guys know of any current steam machines or should I just wait till next year and what's your opinion on them will this be the future and will pc's get less expensive into the pc world so how is that or should i wait for the big steam machine release next year ? will
The I only has a 750ti and I dont think it is going to give you the performance you want.
will it be better than my xbox for the same price?
also keep in mind i could wait for the official steam machine release or upgrade this to a gtx970 in the future
A little hard to compare since console games are optimized for the specific hardware.
I dont think you would be able to upgrade the gpu without a psu upgrade and if your willing to open up one of these tiny game boxes you might as well just assemble a pc yourself.
You know you can have a pc with Windows and Steam OS on it right? or just use the Steam overlay with Windows.
