asus vii ranger vs vii hero

Solution
I would like to highlight that if you don't need those advance features, you're wasting money. The Hero and Ranger are really good boards but only if you need the advance features. The other option is the Z97-A. No difference in performance from the Hero or Ranger.

Absolutely. The only reason I posted that statement is because more often that not, people buy expensive boards and don't use those advance features. Most could get away with a H chipset.

Both the Ranger and the Hero are great mobos (the Ranger isn't available in the States so haven't been hands on w/ it, but want to ;) ), as the little brother to the Hero, would guess in addition to the few advanced features of the Hero, the BIOS on the Hero might be a tad better towards OCing and the cooling on the mobo proper might be a bit better
